Title:  LSTMs and Applications

Abstract:

If, like me, you've heard your fair share of wonder stories about deep learning, come take a sneak peek at some of the ideas that have popularized neural networks far and wide. This won't be a research talk, but rather an introductory discussion of a type of neural network that has risen in popularity in recent years. I'll briefly introduce Long Short-Term Memory networks, what they're doing, and how they're trained, and will discuss one or two recent works leveraging this network types as time allows.
