This talk will provide an introduction to several approaches for studying evolutionary games with continuous strategy spaces, using the problem of overfishing and sustainable management of fisheries as a motivating example. We will consider the role of both peer-to-peer and institutional mechanisms of reward and punishment to incentivize sustainable fishing practices. Mathematically, we can analyze these social-ecological models using measure-valued ODEs and nonlocal transport equations.
